Excel Financial Services Ltd is a firm of mortgage and protection Advisers based in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire.
We can arrange mortgages for clients in any part of the UK. We prefer to give face to face advice wherever possible, but we can arrange mortgages for clients through a remote access service.
Although our firm was established in 2015, both Directors have been operating in the financial services industry for in excess of 30 years. We have vast experience in advising clients about the most suitable mortgage and protection products to achieve our clients’ objectives. This includes Equity Release mortgages.
Our experience has been gained, initially working for Britannia Building Society, followed by Your Mortgage Ltd based in Knaresborough.
We have arranged thousands of mortgages during this time and are delighted that many of our previous clients have sought us out to continue their relationship with us.
We continue to receive valuable referrals from current and previous clients and we aim to offer the same high levels of service, advice and expertise as provided previously.

I commenced my career with Britannia Building Society in Halifax in 1981 and was involved in the management of several branches in West and North Yorkshire. In 2001, I joined and helped to establish Your Mortgage Ltd based in Knaresborough. I have vast experience of mortgage lenders’ criteria and pride myself in finding solutions for my clients’ mortgage needs. I am also an experienced protection Adviser. My role is to advise clients and arrange mortgages and protection policies for them. I am a fully qualified Mortgage Adviser and I am also qualified to give advice and arrange Equity Release mortgages.
Kay Sleigh, DipPFS
I commenced my career with Britannia Building Society in Bradford in 1986 and I was involved with the management of a branch in West Yorkshire before moving into the training, compliance and supervision of Financial Advisers. I joined Your Mortgage Ltd in 2003 undertaking the role of a Financial Adviser before becoming the firms’ Compliance Officer. I am a vastly experienced financial services practitioner. I am qualified as a Mortgage Adviser and Financial Adviser. My role in the firm is currently to supply the compliance and administration expertise to support Jane and to maintain the firms’ governance.
